Psychi (they/he): Founder & USA Lead

Psychi is a pole dancer and instructor from Washington State, USA. They have a rare progressive genetic disease called Stickler Syndrome that causes them to be hard-of-hearing, have POTS, Osteoarthritis, hyper-mobility, chronic pain and more. They also have BPD, OCD, PTSD and schizoaffective disorder. They believe these give them more creativity and lived experiences in their life that they can turn into artistic outlets and also education for others who may have similar diagnoses. They identify as non-binary.

Psychi did their pole instructor training program at Positive Spin Pole Dance in Seattle, Washington. It was a 10 month intensive training course which included classes from the one and only Roz The Diva and other admirable people in the pole industry.

They also run their own photography company called Psychi Media where they have been specializing in concert photography since 2014. Not only do they capture the music scene, they use their platform to spread awareness about accessibility in the music scene as well.

Cainne (xe/xim): Co-Founder & AUS Lead

Cainne is an African American and Russian Jewish fairy art babe born on Lenape Land, currently living on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Land. They are a nueroemergent, chronic HYP+ bae with partial epilepsy and are part of the maimed community. They are passionate about communicating overlapping realities and creating resources in an inaccessible society. They have big cat energy in the sense that they are always on adventures and somehow always in bed with an occasional case of the zoomies.

They are a Clinical Massage and Movement Therapist with special interest in Trauma Informed Practice and Hypermobility Access Centered Treatment. They were part of the first HAPT Cohort with HYP Access and a recipient of The Pole Institute’s 2023 Instructor Scholarship program. They entered The Industry in 2008 doing metal go-go and private dance, and started studio pole in 2020 as a recipient of The People of Cabaret’s Mentorship Program.

They keep it slow and slinky wherever they go. They describe their style as Hypnotic Flow, Afro Strip and Soft Russian.  Their favourite performances were for Crip Rave Theory in 2024 along side the illustrious BAE BAE at the Substation and for their own CUBBY Art Party production: The Law of Beauty.
